Welcome to West View Yoga. These terms and conditions apply to your use of the West View Yoga website, app, classes, courses and digital products offered by Halima Daunt trading as West View Yoga, based in Bath, UK.
Please read these terms carefully before taking part in any class, course or practice. By booking, purchasing or accessing any West View Yoga offering, you are agreeing to these terms.
1. Your Responsibility for Your Own Practice
Yoga is a physical activity. You are responsible for your own health, safety and wellbeing when taking part in any West View Yoga class, course or guided practice, whether in person, online or via the app.
By participating, you confirm that:
- You are in a suitable state of health to practise yoga
- You will inform Halima of any injuries, health conditions, pregnancy or other circumstances that may affect your practice, before the class or session begins
- You will not push beyond your own limits and will rest or modify as needed
- You understand that following any guidance given is your own choice and is done at your own risk
If you are unsure whether yoga is suitable for you, please consult your doctor or healthcare provider before taking part.
2. Medical Disclaimer
West View Yoga is not a medical service. Nothing provided through our classes, courses, app or website constitutes medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
If you have a medical condition, injury, or are pregnant, you must seek advice from a qualified medical professional before participating. Halima is an Iyengar Yoga teacher, not a medical practitioner.
3. Limitation of Liability
West View Yoga and Halima Daunt accept no liability for:
- Any injury, illness or loss arising from participation in any class, course or guided practice
- Any injury resulting from failure to disclose a relevant health condition
- Any technical issues affecting access to online classes or the app
- Any loss of data or content
You participate in all West View Yoga activities entirely at your own risk.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, as required by UK law.
4. Suitability and Age
West View Yoga classes and digital content are intended for adults aged 18 and over, unless a class is specifically advertised as suitable for younger participants.
You confirm that you are of the minimum required age, or that you have parental or guardian consent where applicable.
5. Bookings, Payments and Cancellations
All bookings and purchases are subject to the pricing and availability displayed at the time of booking.
Class passes and course fees are non-refundable once purchased, except where required by UK consumer law.
Cancellations by you: Please give as much notice as possible if you are unable to attend a class. Late cancellation and no-show policies are as displayed at the time of booking.
Cancellations by West View Yoga: In the unlikely event that a class or course is cancelled, you will be offered a replacement session or a credit. Refunds will be offered where a replacement cannot be provided.
6. Intellectual Property
All content created by West View Yoga, including videos, sequences, written guides and course materials, is the intellectual property of Halima Daunt and West View Yoga. You may not reproduce, share, resell or distribute any content without written permission.
Content is provided for your personal practice only.
7. Privacy
Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which can be found at westviewyoga.co.uk/privacy. We will never sell your data to third parties.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Any significant changes will be communicated to you. Continued use of West View Yoga services after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
