Standing Poses

We begin where Iyengar Yoga always begins on our feet. Standing poses build strength, stability and the foundational alignment that underpins everything that follows.

Forward Extensions

A quietening of the nervous system. Forward extensions ask us to turn inward, releasing the back body and cultivating a particular quality of attention.

Backward Extensions

Opening the front body, expanding the chest and breath. Backbends are energising and challenging, approached here with care and preparation.

Restorative

We close with rest. Restorative practice is deeply therapeutic - supported poses held with stillness, allowing the body to receive rather than be busy doing.
